Capturing the Essence: A Photographic Odyssey from Curiosity to Devotion
The seed of my photography fervor was sown in the 1970s, during my early childhood days. A vintage camera owned by my parents kindled a spark of intrigue within me. This spark ignited my inquisitive nature, guiding me towards the realm of experimentation with disposable film cameras. Despite the steep costs associated with developing those captured moments, my affection for photography continued to flourish.
As time marched on, I acquired my inaugural "authentic" camera – an all-manual SLR Olympus OM10 – a faithful companion on my evolving journey. This trusty companion was eventually traded for an Olympus OM101. Subsequently, I ascended to greater heights with a Minolta Maxxum 7000i, a cherished possession that remains with me to this very day.
The dawn of the digital era breathed new life into my passion, courtesy of my treasured Canon Powershot S40 – a digital marvel that still holds a special place in my heart. However, an unquenchable thirst for a DSLR led me to the Konica Minolta Dynax 7D, a 6.1-megapixel wonder adorned with anti-shake technology.
The digital revolution democratized photography, rendering it more accessible and budget-friendly for enthusiasts like myself. Armed with a wealth of online resources, I delved deeper into my passion, mastering novel techniques and approaches.
Sony assumed the mantle from Konica Minolta, and my gaze was drawn to this brand owing to its compatibility with my cherished collection of lenses. The Sony A65-SLT marked my entrée into the world of Sony DSLRs, offering an exclusive single-lens translucent technology. However, with the unveiling of the Sony A7iii, my resolve to ascend further was solidified. This conviction led me to the A7iv, my loyal companion on this ongoing voyage.
Photography has perpetually infused my life with joy, an unceasing fount of cherished memories. From the modest origins with an antiquated camera to my present ardour for digital imagery, my expedition remains one marked by curiosity, exploration, and awe.
